About Campus
Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State University, Iowa State, or ISU) is a public land-grant research university in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 1858 as the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm, Iowa State became one of the nation's first designated land-grant institutions when the Iowa Legislature accepted the provisions of the 1862 Morrill Act on September 11, 1862, making Iowa the first state in the nation to do so. On July 4, 1959, the college was officially renamed Iowa State University of Science and Technology. in 1954, Iowa State University hosted the Midwest Dormitory Conference which later lead to the development of both NACURH & MACURH.
Registration
Registration will open on August 30 and closes on September 27. Late registration will be available to institutions at an additional cost of $10 per delegate until October 4. Institutions may request to drop register delegates or alternates up to the October 4th deadline.
Delegate Caps
Delegate caps are set at 6 total delegates including advisors. Institutions looking to bid for conference may request to bring up to 4 additional delegates.
Alternate Delegates
If institutions wish to bring additional delegates above the delegation cap, they can apply to bring "Alternates" during registration. Institutions should only register delegates they budget for as once registration closes, conference staff will review all attendees and accept Alternates as space allows. Institutions will be informed with information for their invoice for conference. Institutions will be responsible for paying for all registered delegates at this time as housing & dining costs will have been set and we cannot refund registration. If institutions wish to remove an alternate, they must contact conference staff at ma_rlc@nacurh.org prior to the close of registration.
Delegate Swaps
In the case where an institution needs to replace a delegate that can no longer attend conference, they can communicate with conference staff on specific needs up to October 11 and get updated materials for their new delegate. After this deadline, an institution may still bring a swapped delegate, but they must match the gender demographic of the previous delegate and will only receive items prepared for the original attendee (i.e. shirts, lanyards, etc.)
