About Campus

Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State University, Iowa State, or ISU) is a public land-grant research university in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 1858 as the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm, Iowa State became one of the nation's first designated land-grant institutions when the Iowa Legislature accepted the provisions of the 1862 Morrill Act on September 11, 1862, making Iowa the first state in the nation to do so. On July 4, 1959, the college was officially renamed Iowa State University of Science and Technology. in 1954, Iowa State University hosted the Midwest Dormitory Conference which later lead to the development of both NACURH & MACURH.

Registration

Iowa State was selected as the host for MACURH RLC 2024 early March 2024. The conference staff is working diligently to prepare an amazing conference and more information will be shared at a later date concerning registration, dates, and costs for the conference.

Delegate Caps
Alternate Delegates

If institutions wish to bring additional delegates above the delegation cap, they can apply to bring "Alternates" during registration. Institutions should only register delegates they budget for as once registration closes, conference staff will review all attendees and accept Alternates as space allows. Institutions will be informed with information for their invoice for conference. Institutions will be responsible for paying for all registered delegates at this time as housing & dining costs will have been set and we cannot refund registration. If institutions wish to remove an alternate, they must contact conference staff at ma_conf@nacurh.org prior to the close of registration.

Delegate Swaps

In the case where an institution needs to replace a delegate that can no longer attend conference, they can communicate with conference staff on specific needs up to the Delegate Swap deadline and get updated materials for their new delegate. After this deadline, an institution may still bring a swapped delegate, but they must match the gender demographic of the previous delegate and will only receive items prepared for the original attendee (i.e. shirts, lanyards, etc.)
